Consistently good, with a minor snag

Another order from Generation Tea, and as always, the quality holds up. I've bought from them numerous times, and their Silver Needle is consistently a favorite – it's just so smooth. This time around, I was looking into their aged Liu Bao and how best to store it, and their customer service was helpful, though I did have to wait a little longer than usual for a response to my email. Still, their selection for ripe Pu-erh is extensive, and the new customer offers are always a nice touch when I see them pop up. They remain a go-to for quality teas.

Solid aged Pu-erh experience

I purchased an aged Pu-erh cake a few weeks ago to expand my collection. The website was easy to navigate, and finding the specific type of aged tea I was looking for was straightforward. Shipping took about five business days, which is reasonable for a specialty item like this. The tea arrived well-packaged in a sturdy box, protecting it perfectly. Upon opening, the aroma was exactly what I expected from a properly aged Pu-erh. The tea itself brewed beautifully, with a deep, complex flavor profile that developed nicely over multiple infusions. I had a small question about storage, so I used their contact form, and customer support replied within 24 hours with helpful advice. Overall, a very positive experience from start to finish. I appreciate the attention to detail in their product descriptions and the care taken with packaging.

Love my new tea!

I just got my order of Dragon Well Green tea and it's fantastic! The leaves are so fresh and the taste is really smooth, not bitter at all. I was a bit worried about ordering tea online, but this place is the real deal. I'm already planning my next order for some White Peony tea. You guys have to try this store!

Good quality, fast shipping

I ordered some loose Pu-erh tea and a small Yixing teapot last week. The shipping was surprisingly fast; it arrived two days earlier than the tracking said. Everything was packaged really well, no damage to the teapot at all. The tea itself is quite good, very robust flavor. I'm happy with this purchase and will likely order more tea from them.

Anyone know if you can use more than one coupon code? Got a first-time one but also saw something about a bulk discount.

M Mia W. 2 months ago
Nah, usually it's just one coupon per order. Most places don't let you stack 'em.

I tried that once, didn't work. Had to pick which one gave me the better deal.

Hey, wondering how long shipping usually takes for an order to, say, Seattle?

P Phil W. 2 months ago
Mine took about 5-7 business days to get to California, so Seattle should be similar, I think.

Yeah, I got my last order pretty quick, like under a week. They ship from within the US so it's not ages.

What's the deal with returns if I don't like a tea? Can I send it back if I've opened it?

S Sam Osei 2 months ago
I don't think you can return opened tea. Most food items are like that for hygiene reasons.

Pretty sure their policy says no returns on opened tea. Makes sense though, can't really re-sell it.

Are their Yixing teapots legit? Been burned before with fakes.

K Kevin 2 months ago
Yeah, from what I've seen and heard, their Yixing pots are the real deal. They usually specify the clay and artist if it's a higher end one.

I have one of their pots, feels pretty good and ages nicely. Definitely not a cheap knock-off.

any seasonal sales I should look out for? don't want to buy now if there's a big discount coming up.

M Mark Doyle 3 months ago
They usually have sales around Black Friday/Cyber Monday and sometimes for Chinese New Year. Spring/Autumn harvests too.

Yeah, wait for the big holiday sales. You might see 10-20% off then, otherwise discounts are pretty rare.
